Bridlington in Yorkshire sees the start of the 2015 Tourdeyorkshire cycling event...

Stage one of the Tour de Yorkshire sees the start in the seaside resort of Bridlington, and 174km later on finishing at the resort of Scarborough.

This historic cycling event will see riders from all parts of the World passing through the lovely scenery and countryside that Yorkshire offers including the famous North York landscapes.

Setting off from the start line in Bridlington, the Tourdeyorkshire riders will head along the Flamborough Head Coastline before turning away from the coast into the North York Moors National Park, they will then ride through Dalby Forest and on towards Pickering.

The cyclists will then take a spectacular journey back to the N Yorkshire coast resort of Whitby, and then south to Robin Hood’s Bay with the ultimate race to the finish line on the seafront at Scarborough.
